‘Apostolate for promoting families’ seeks to heal many wounds that result from family disharmony, the physical, psychological and social problems that afflict family life. Families may experience moments or even years of hurt. At times what the hurt family needs is the pastoral care of a sensitive religious in the form of advice, prayer or a personal listening. Through counseling the MSMI uplifts those who are mentally weak to the hope of life. It is to free the people, and to facilitate them in the healing of their hurts by providing adequate resources in the local community where such help is easily identified and used. They also conduct counseling courses in English and Malayalam to equip the priests, religious and laity as efficient counselors. The members of MSMI are engaged in counseling apostolate in hospitals, schools, retreat centers and parishes.
Olive Wellness Centre started in November 2017 at Janasaukhya Charitable Society, Payod, Mananthavady. It is managed by Missionary Sisters of Mary Immaculate (MSMI) Christujyothi Province, Bathery.
